Testsea Disease Test HIV 1/2 Rapid Test Kit

Short Description:

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that attacks the immune system, specifically targeting the CD4+ T cells (also known as T-helper cells), which are crucial for immune defense. If left untreated, HIV can lead to Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), a condition where the immune system becomes severely damaged and unable to fight off infections and diseases.

HIV is primarily transmitted through blood, semen, vaginal fluids, rectal fluids, and breast milk. The most common routes of transmission include unprotected sexual contact, sharing contaminated needles, and mother-to-child transmission during childbirth or breastfeeding.

There are two main types of HIV:

  • HIV-1: The most common and widespread type of HIV globally.
  • HIV-2: Less common, primarily found in West Africa, and typically associated with a slower progression to AIDS.

Early detection and treatment with antiretroviral therapy (ART) can help individuals with HIV live long, healthy lives and significantly reduce the risk of transmission to others.

Product Detail:

  • High Sensitivity and Specificity
The test is designed to accurately detect both HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies, providing reliable results with minimal cross-reactivity.
  • Rapid Results
Results are available within 15-20 minutes, enabling immediate clinical decision-making and reducing the waiting time for patients.
  • Ease of Use
Simple and user-friendly design, requiring no specialized equipment or training. Suitable for use in both clinical settings and remote locations.
  • Versatile Sample Types
The test is compatible with whole blood, serum, or plasma, providing flexibility in sample collection and increasing the range of applications.
  • Portability and Field Application
Compact and lightweight, making the test kit ideal for point-of-care settings, mobile health clinics, and mass screening programs.

Principle:

  • Sample Collection
A small volume of serum, plasma, or whole blood is applied to the sample well of the test device, followed by the addition of a buffer solution to begin the test process.
  • Antigen-Antibody Interaction
The test contains recombinant antigens for both HIV-1 and HIV-2, which are immobilized on the test region of the membrane. If HIV antibodies (IgG, IgM, or both) are present in the sample, they will bind to the antigens on the membrane, forming an antigen-antibody complex.
  • Chromatographic Migration
The antigen-antibody complex moves along the membrane via capillary action. If HIV antibodies are present, the complex will bind to the test line (T line), producing a visible colored line. The remaining reagents migrate to the control line (C line) to ensure the validity of the test.
  • Result Interpretation
    • Two lines (T line + C line): Positive result, indicating the presence of HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 antibodies.
    • One line (C line only): Negative result, indicating no detectable HIV antibodies.
    • No line or T line only: Invalid result, requiring a repeat test.

Rub the inside of the nostril in circular movements 5 times for at least 15 seconds,Now take the same nasal swab and insert it into the other nostril.Swab the inside of the nostril in a circular motion 5 times for at least 15 seconds. Please perform the test directly with the sample and do not
leave it standing.

6.Place the swab in the extraction tube.Rotate the swab for about 10 seconds,Rotate the swab against the extraction tube, pressing the head of the swab against the inside of the tube while squeezing the sides of the tube to release as much liquid as possible from the swab.
